VEGETARIANISM: MY EXPERIENCE

Today is June 31 – exactly six months since New Year’s Eve and with that, exactly since months since I last ate meat. Yes, I was that person who decided go veggie on the first day of 2018 after deciding it months before, but you know what – sometimes new year’s resolutions can be a good thing and I felt like I needed a definitive cut off point. So, I thought I would reflect on how I’ve found vegetarianism so far and my reasons for deciding to take the plunge and finally cut out meat once and for all. May Favourites

Why hi there, hello, how are you all? It’s a pretty dreary day in Liverpool which is unfortunate seeing as every day I’ve been in work this week it’s been absolutely beautiful. But oh well, there’s not much we can do about it except for cross our fingers that Sunday will see the return of some sunshine – I’ve checked my weather app and I don’t want to jinx it but we’re looking good guys. Whilst it’s drizzling away outside I thought I’d take the opportunity to get comfy and catch you up on some of the things I took a shine to during the month of May. And yes, I, like the rest of the world, am in shock that it’s June already.

Sourcing Inspiration

It’s pretty common to feel demotivated and disheartened when you scroll through social media. As someone who’s a very small fish in a very large ocean full of bloggers and ‘influencers’, I’ve found it all too easy to fall into the trap of comparing myself to those around me which is definitely not healthy. However, recently I’ve been scrolling through my social media feeds with a whole different mindset – banishing those negative thoughts and instead replacing them with inspiration and ideas. I thought in this blog post I would share where I’ve been getting some inspiration from whether that’s inspo for photography, an outfit or even motivation to simply try and sort my life out.
