After quite possibly the longest January ever, I, along with many others I’m sure, am very much looking forward to Spring and Summer. Unfortunately though, the weather is still very much rooted in the depths of winter and we won’t be leaving the house without thermals on for a while. Although I’m longing for denim shorts and cute summer dresses, I’m going to make the most of my winter wardrobe while I still can.
Now that Spring is finally here (just about) it’s time to ditch the winter thermals in favour of some lighter layers. Don’t get me wrong, my ‘big coat’ is still on stand-by in case of another bought of snow – it is the UK after all – but on those odd days that reach above 4 degrees I’m definitely embracing a lighter jacket.
Social media and I have a love-hate relationship. In fact, I would definitely place us under the ‘it’s complicated’ category on Facebook. If you didn’t know, my full-time job heavily revolves around social media so a lot of my time is spent online, posting on and monitoring Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and various other platforms. I then finish work at 5pm and spend chunks of my evenings scrolling social media, both in a personal capacity and for my blog.
I think it’s safe to say that all of us are sick of winter now. The dark nights, freezing temperatures and the need to wrap up in a million layers before leaving the house is well and truly getting old. As the days are getting longer by minutes a week, I’m finding myself wishing for Spring to arrive more and more. Of course, sunnier days holds warmth, beer gardens and light nights which I’m looking forward to, but I also can’t wait to switch up my wardrobe and start wearing, well, less basically.
