In the words of Miranda Priestly, “Florals? For Spring? Groundbreaking.” It may not be anything new, but it’s still a firm favourite for 2018’s warmer months. There’s something about the warmer weather that makes me want to have flowers, flowers and more flowers. I’m a young Theresa May running through a field, apart from the wheat is replaced with flowers, political beliefs significantly altered and the only bombing I’m doing is spraying Viktor & Rolf’s ‘Flowerbomb’ perfume.
Hello and happy Sunday! Unfortunately it seems that Liverpool’s moment in the sun only lasted a day as it’s looking fairly grey and miserable at the moment. Yesterday was the first real day that felt like Spring had finally arrived, so of course the whole of it was spent outside. I even stripped off my coat and scarf, would you believe?!
Now that Spring is finally here (just about) it’s time to ditch the winter thermals in favour of some lighter layers. Don’t get me wrong, my ‘big coat’ is still on stand-by in case of another bought of snow – it is the UK after all – but on those odd days that reach above 4 degrees I’m definitely embracing a lighter jacket.
Hello and happy Bank Holiday Monday! I hope everyone has had a lovely four-day weekend filled with lots of chocolate. I for one am feeling slightly sick after devouring my Lindt bunny in one sitting, but I suppose you can’t do Easter half-hearted right? My long weekend has consisted of seeing friends and family, reading and of course eating.
It’s no secret that the news is full of tragic events – pick up a newspaper and its slim pickings to find anything remotely positive. Bad news sells papers after all. Reading stories about the horrors happening across the globe is a sure fire way to get you down, and whilst it’s vital to stay informed, it’s equally as important to remind yourself that not everything is doom and gloom. In an attempt to cheer things up, I’ve put together some uplifting news stories to warm your heart…
