I recently shared a reflection of my 2018 over on my Instagram stories, but it’s been a pretty exciting year for me so I thought I would expand on it over on my blog, too. I even managed to tick a couple of things off my 30 Before 30 Bucket List, which you can read here, which I was not expecting to be able to do so soon!
December is well and truly here which means that party season is just around the corner. I for one am very excited to eat my body weight in mince pies and drink copious amounts of fizz without feeling any guilt whatsoever because there’s no such thing as guilt at Christmas time.
Why hi there, hello, how are you all? It’s a pretty dreary day in Liverpool which is unfortunate seeing as every day I’ve been in work this week it’s been absolutely beautiful. But oh well, there’s not much we can do about it except for cross our fingers that Sunday will see the return of some sunshine – I’ve checked my weather app and I don’t want to jinx it but we’re looking good guys. Whilst it’s drizzling away outside I thought I’d take the opportunity to get comfy and catch you up on some of the things I took a shine to during the month of May. And yes, I, like the rest of the world, am in shock that it’s June already.
In the words of Miranda Priestly, “Florals? For Spring? Groundbreaking.” It may not be anything new, but it’s still a firm favourite for 2018’s warmer months. There’s something about the warmer weather that makes me want to have flowers, flowers and more flowers. I’m a young Theresa May running through a field, apart from the wheat is replaced with flowers, political beliefs significantly altered and the only bombing I’m doing is spraying Viktor & Rolf’s ‘Flowerbomb’ perfume.
I’m fascinated by human behaviour. The idea that every single person on the planet is different to the next, with a different personality is just crazy to me. By the time you get through your teens and into your early twenties your personality and traits are pretty much set in stone, and apparently we’re pretty much incapable of change once we hit the big 3-0. Now I’m at the ripe old age of 22, soon to be 23, I’d like to think I know myself pretty well. There are things that I like about myself, and of course things that I wish I could change.
