A GO-TO Valentine’s Day LOOK

Valentine’s Day is just around the corner (two days away – yikes!) so I thought I’d pop together a little blog post sharing a look that’s perfect for pretty much any V-Day plans.

We still haven’t decided how or if we’ll be celebrating Valentine’s Day this year. To be honest, it usually goes unacknowledged between my partner and I. We typically just go out for a bite to eat, nothing fancy, and sometimes we might buy each other a card or some chocolates but it’s no big deal. That being said, who doesn’t love an occasion to get a bit dressed up? So whether you’re celebrating with your partner or with friends, hopefully this can give you a bit of inspo when it comes to your V-Day wardrobe.

A dress and knee high boots has become a fail safe combination for me recently. I picked up these boots from Marks and Spencer after being on the hunt for a pair that were not too high but still had a bit of a heel. I love how versatile they are – if you follow me on Instagram you’ll probably know just how much I love them. They go with EVERYTHING, and they’re super comfy too which is a huge bonus! They also had (and I’m hoping still have!) the same pair but in snake print which I am also very tempted by.

Now onto the dress. After regularly eyeing it up and it being held in my saved list on ASOS for a long time, I noticed it had dropped into the sale earlier this week wahoo! Of course I had to snap it up and I have no regrets. It’s from & Other Stories and I just love the deep purple shade. It’s actually a teeny tiny leopard print pattern if you look closely too which is a lovely detail. I thought it would be perfect for Valentine’s Day, but also versatile to wear for other occasions. It would make for a great work piece for the office too!

So whether you’re heading out for dinner, a bar for some drinks or even brunch with your friends, this would be the perfect look! Let me know what your plans are for Valentine’s Day – I’d love to hear them!
