Spring has just about sprung. My big coats are being reached for less and less, and my painfully pale legs are starting to make an appearance. This time of year can be tricky when it comes to putting outfits together – the sun can be shining one minute, and the heavens can open the next. I thought I’d share three outfits to hopefully make getting dressed in the mornings just a little bit easier.
I have a few key pieces that I would recommend for easily popping together a Spring look. A midi skirt, t-shirt, cardigan and some black boots is always a winning combination for me. As long as you have basics in your wardrobe, you can mix and match to create totally different looks. This animal print number is a recent addition to my wardrobe, which I picked up on Nasty Gal during one of their mega sales. Midi skirts can be worn with just about everything; trainers, sandals, boots, jumpers, leather jackets – you name it!
I’ve wanted a pair of off white jeans for months, and I finally found the perfect pair. Although I am prone to spilling things on myself, I love the look of them so much that it’s a risk I’m willing to take when it comes to these. The tie dye top has been featured on my blog before, but this time I wanted to show it off in all of its glory, rather than slipping it on underneath a shirt. I was a bit skeptical of how much wear I’d get out of it when I first made the purchase, but it’s been an incredibly useful piece in my wardrobe I’ve gotten the cost per wear down to practically pennies.
Spring is a great time to experiment with layers, and if you’ve followed by blog or Instagram for a while, you’ll probably have noticed that I love myself a turtleneck. I have a basic, skin tight cotton turtle neck that is perfect for layering underneath different pieces. I love under shirts, dresses and of course, t shirts. This one is actually an old one of my boyfriends which apparently he’s had since around 14 making it a good 13 years old. T shirts and A Line Skirts are basically my uniform when it comes to the warmer months and this tiger print number is a recent wardrobe addition. It’s a brushed faux fur material so perhaps it will be a little warm for when it hits high temperatures (fingers crossed for a summer like last year) but it’s perfect for the slightly cooler weather of Spring.
