It’s no secret that satin slip skirts have been doing the rounds over the last few months. You could throw a stone into any highstreet shop and the chances are pretty good that you’ll hit one. They come in all different colours and patterns and you probably have at least one in your wardrobe already.
Having purchased and fallen in love with a plum coloured Topshop number a few months ago which featured in a previous blog post, I decided that I couldn’t pass up the opportunity to add this Leopard Print style into my wardrobe.
The thing that I love about these skirts, aside from the fact that they make you look like you have your shit together, is that you can wear them all year round. Winter? Pair with a thick knit, chunky boots and a faux fur coat a la this look. Summer? Throw on a pair of trainers and an oversized t-shirt et voila! A outfit that looks put together, yet is so simple and requires a minimal amount of ironing (always a bonus). I can see these skirts fast becoming a staple in my wardrobe.
Whilst I love this outfit, I must admit that my legs were absolutely freezing whilst getting these photos taken – you can actually see the goosebumps in some photos! As you can probably tell from all of the grit, on this day it had actually been snowing and I think the temperature was around -1℃ and I wouldn’t recommend going bare legged when it’s that cold. Perhaps save it for a warmer day, or maybe an occasion that involves minimal outside time!

I love how you made this feminine skirt so edgy. Such a lovely mix!
