Weekly Round Up

Happy Friday folks! The weekend is finally here and all I can think about is the Chinese takeaway that I’m more than likely to devour in a few hours time. My week has pretty much been spent working from the comfort of my sofa surrounded by tissues, but I wanted to do a little weekly round-up of some things I’ve been enjoying over the past seven days.

Reading: Little Fires Everywhere

I read the first chapter of this book a few months ago, but for some reason never carried on with it. I picked it up again this week and started from the beginning and finished it around three days later – I absolutely loved it! It’s very gripping and easy to read, the perfect book to read on a lazy Sunday afternoon.

Listening: Red Rum Club

I’ve been loving Red Rum Club’s new album, Matador. Every song is an absolute banger and I especially love the brass, I’m a sucker for trumpet. Personal favourites include Would You Rather Be Lonely? and Calexico. I first heard them around two years ago now at a band night kinda thing in the Baltic Triangle and loved them then, but only just rediscovered them in the last few months – I’d highly recommend giving them a listen if you haven’t already!

Watching: The Ted Bundy Tapes / Sex Education

Technically I haven’t actually finished either of these shows yet (one episode into Ted Bundy and two into Sex Education) but I just had to include them in here. I watched the first episode of The Ted Bundy Tapes last night and I already can’t wait to put the second one on. I’ve been loving Sex Education and I would have quite happily binge watched them but I’m waiting for my boyfriend to catch up so we can watch them together. He’s taking his sweet time though so I may end up binging them alone after all!

Drinking: Camomile & Honey Tea

I don’t know why I’d never tried this before, but it’s quickly become my new favourite hot drink. My boyfriend actually just brought back a new box from the shop because I’ve gone through them all so quickly. They’re perfect before bed too for that ultimate cosy night!

So that’s pretty much what I’ve been doing this week in between working and sleeping! It’s been a pretty uneventful week of being cooped up in the flat mostly, so I’m looking forward to getting out and about properly again and making myself look and feel a bit more human! Let me know if there’s anything you’ve been loving this week, I’d love to hear.
